Enliven outdoor spaces with Kalanchoe blossfeldiana

Bring style to your patio or garden by decorating with the long-lasting, vibrant blooms of Kalanchoe blossfeldiana. The small flowers are grouped in tight flowerheads borne on long stems. Each head has between 20 - 50 flowers. and will thrive outdoors in frost-free areas. This plant is ideal for containers or even in the ground. Because this succulent can tolerate different levels of sun exposure, the Kalanchoe blossfeldiana makes a versatile and ideal plant for any gardener. Bright light is best for this plant, yet you can place this succulent in a north-facing windowsill. Water this plant about once to twice a week during the warm spring and summer months; decrease your watering in the fall and winter (October through February). To improve the growth and flowering, fertilize once a month between March and August with a liquid fertilizer. Depending on the variety of this species, blooms will appear from winter to early spring. The blooming period usually lasts four to eight weeks. This succulent can tolerate temperatures as low as 45°F.
